I build stuff that actually gets used.
I’m CrypticRedHat — a Principal Software Architect in the public sector, and apparently the sort of person who “relaxes” by building even more software. I’ve stuck with the same organisation for 10 years (so they either like me, or I’m hard to get rid of).
A couple of years ago, Rust pulled me into community tooling — I built a plugin to fix a gap nobody else was filling, and that turned into a steady stream of work with multiple communities. Now I ship plugins, extensions, admin tools, websites, leaderboards, bots and automation that people actually use day-to-day.
- ✓Principal Software Architect with 10 years in enterprise/public sector delivery
- ✓Rust ecosystem tooling: plugins, extensions, moderation + admin workflow systems
- ✓Full-stack delivery: APIs, dashboards, websites, leaderboards, Discord bots
- ✓Infra + reliability: deployments, containers, monitoring, and surprises
What I do
Rust tooling, admin workflows, bots, panels, APIs — the things that makes communities run smoother, and more enjoyable for your players. If it’s going to be used daily by staff, it needs to be solid and fast.
If your stack is slow, flaky, or messy: I’ll sort it. Containers, deployments, performance, stability, and the boring bits that stop things falling over.

My work
Want me to build something?
I take on private work. If you’ve got a Rust community problem, a web platform idea, or an infra mess that needs sorting — I’m your guy.
